WHOLE SALE PIGS (half or full hogs)
For $5/Lb (hanging weight), plus a $150 butchering fee you can have a half hog from our farm into your freezer. Our pigs are raised on pastures for 14+ months using a noGMO feed mix. They vary in weight between 160 and 200 Lbs (hanging weight). Once you make the down payment we will ask you to indicate the date pf pick up and complete a survey designed to think about your preferences in the kitchen – we need the cook of the family to complete this questionnaire. Next, we will have a conversation to learn about your favorite recipes and your day to day cooking habits so that we can cut the meat accordingly. For the families that want to have a more active role in the process we offer the opportunity for up to 4 members to participate in the cutting to learn about butchering techniques and different cuts and cooking techniques; this is for an additional $40 (mind you the slaughtering only and always happens in a USDA facility). Alternatively, people that purchase half a pig are welcome to participate in our butchering and charcuterie class in November at only $20 ($50 for outside audience). The pigs we have lined up for Octeber, November and December are simply phenomenal, so hurry up! If you prefer a leaner pig choose a pig in January to May. We butcher all year around.
